Can I mate it with connectors from other brands?
Physically yes, but we recommend keeping connector pairs identical. IEC 62852 certification applies to matched connector types, and mixed-brand MC4-style pairs are the most common cause of high-resistance, water-ingress failures in the field. Our jumpers arrive pre-mated with identical pairs, so your joint is as good as the factory can make it.
Is 10 ft long enough, and what about voltage drop?
At 6 mm² the drop over 10 ft is negligible for typical string currents. For longer runs, calculate drop at your operating current - or simply order a custom length in the same construction rather than daisy-chaining jumpers.
Can it live outdoors permanently?
Yes. The cross-linked jacket is UV and ozone stable for rooftop exposure, and mated connectors hold IP68. Do not leave unmated connectors exposed to weather for extended periods; cap them if a run stays open during installation.
