International Status
The United States began developing and manufacturing alloy power cables in 1968, subsequently promoting their use across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. These cables are primarily utilized in construction projects such as airports, military bases, office buildings, residential complexes, hotels, supermarkets, educational institutions, stadiums, hospitals, and industrial facilities. Alloy cables have been successfully deployed in the U.S. for over 40 years without a single safety incident-a key factor driving the rapid, nationwide adoption of this new material.


Domestic Status
Aluminum alloy cables are nothing new; their performance and cost-effectiveness have been validated by authoritative testing. While statistical data shows that copper cables still command over 90% of the market share, this has not hindered the growing public recognition and acceptance of aluminum alloy cables. Trends in company orders and user feedback clearly demonstrate confidence in the future of this technology.


Data indicates that aluminum alloy cables-which offer superior electrical performance and a better cost-to-performance ratio-have a nearly 40-year track record in Europe and the United States, with particularly high adoption rates in hospitals, churches, and government facilities. Although their overall sales volume still lags significantly behind copper cables, there is a marked rise in smaller orders from government bodies, factories, hospitals, and residential projects. This indicates widespread acceptance of aluminum alloy cables across both fundamental applications and complex operating environments, signaling a bright future for the product.


This trend extends to medical and civil projects as well. Many hospitals initially used copper cables for their main structures but experimented with aluminum alloy cables-valued for their superior corrosion resistance-in outdoor areas and corridors characterized by complex environments and variable operating conditions. Following successful performance in these trials, plans are now in place to fully replace copper cables with aluminum alloy alternatives during future system upgrades.
