Operating Conditions For Fire-Resistant Cables

1. Rated AC voltage: U₀/U (V series: 600/1000V; K series: 450/750V; B series: 450/750V).


2. Maximum long-term operating temperature of the cable:
(1) Flame-retardant PVC insulation and sheath: 70°C and 105°C; XLPE insulation: 90°C;
(2) Fluoroplastic insulation and sheath: 220°C and 260°C; fluoroplastic insulation and 105°C flame-retardant PVC sheath: 90°C and 125°C;
(3) Low-halogen, low-smoke, flame-retardant PVC insulation and sheath: 70°C; halogen-free, low-smoke, flame-retardant polyolefin insulation and sheath: 90°C and 125°C.


3. Minimum ambient temperature:
(1) Flame-retardant PVC insulation and sheath: -40°C for fixed installation; -15°C for non-fixed installation;
(2) Fluoroplastic insulation and sheath: -60°C for fixed installation; -20°C for non-fixed installation;


4. The safe installation temperature for the cable shall not be lower than 0°C.

 

5. Fire resistance characteristics:

  • Complies with GA 306.2-2007 and GB/T 19216.21-2003 standards.
  • Flame temperature: 950°C–1000°C | 750°C–800°C
  • Combustion duration: 90 min (recommended) | 90 min (recommended)
  • Applied voltage: Rated voltage (minimum 100 V) | Rated voltage (minimum 100 V)
  • Fire resistance class: Class A (Class IA–IVA) | Class I–IV


6. Recommended minimum bending radius for installation:

  • For non-armored and braided-shield cables: not less than 6 times the cable outer diameter;
  • For steel-tape armored cables: not less than 12 times the cable outer diameter;
  • For cables with fluoroplastic insulation and sheathing: not less than 8 times the cable outer diameter.
