Core
The core is the current-carrying component of the power cable used to transmit electrical energy; it is the primary part of the cable.
Insulation Layer
The insulation layer electrically isolates the core from the ground and from cores of different phases, ensuring the transmission of electrical energy; it is an indispensable component of the power cable structure.
Shielding Layer
Power cables rated at 15 kV and above generally feature both a conductor shielding layer and an insulation shielding layer.
Protective Layer
The function of the protective layer is to shield the power cable from the ingress of external impurities and moisture, as well as to prevent direct mechanical damage from external forces.
