Description

Product Overview

The RVVP series adds a tinned copper braided shield - complete with drain wire - to the proven RVV construction: Class 5 stranded copper conductors, PVC core insulation and a PVC outer sheath, produced to GB / T 5023 and JB / T 8734 series constructions. Wherever frequency converters, contactors, radio equipment or dense cable trays threaten weak signals, this Shielded Multi Core Cable keeps analog and control circuits clean and repeatable.

Because the braid holds ≥ 80 % optical coverage while the cores stay finely stranded, the cable remains supple enough for cabinet work yet quiet enough for measurement loops. Engineers therefore specify it as their default Shielded Signal Wire for 0–10 V and 4–20 mA loops, encoder feedback and weighing systems, and as a practical Signal Transmission Cable for audio, alarm and low-speed data interfaces.

Engineering & Quality Assurance

Copper is procured as 99.99 % purity rod and re-verified against IEC 60228 conductor resistance; the tinned braid is applied at controlled tension so coverage and transfer impedance stay within spec drum after drum. Each batch of Shielded Multi Core Cable passes 100 % spark, high-voltage and conductor-resistance testing in our ISO 9001-certified plant and ships with traceable batch records, a factory test report and CE / RoHS / REACH documentation; SGS or TÜV inspection can be arranged for tenders.

Our engineers back every quotation with practical EMC advice: ground the drain wire at the controller end to avoid ground loops, keep signal runs separated from power cables in shared trays, and upsize one cross-section for long analog runs. Honest guidance like this is why system integrators standardise on our shielded line.

Frequently Asked Questions

When should I choose RVVP over RVV?

RVV is the economical choice where electromagnetic interference is negligible. When signals run near frequency converters, soft starters, contactors or radio equipment, the braid in RVVP attenuates coupled noise and prevents false readings and drive faults - the cheapest insurance in the cabinet.

How should the shield be terminated?

Connect the drain wire to the signal reference at the controller end, and never leave the braid floating; for mixed high-frequency environments our datasheet notes both-end bonding options. An unterminated shield can couple more noise than no shield at all - we say so plainly because correct installation is part of the product.

Is RVVP suitable for RS-485 or CAN buses?

Its cores are parallel rather than twisted, so for long differential buses we honestly recommend twisted-pair types such as RVSP. For point-to-point analog loops, weighing sensors and low-speed interfaces, RVVP remains the cost-effective Signal Transmission Cable.
